TPMS Relearn Procedures
AC-1
Ensure all tires are inflated to the pressure listed on the tire placard. Drive vehicle at speeds above 15 mph for a minimum of 40 seconds. Sensor ID's will be learned automatically.
AU-1
- Inflate all tires to pressure listed on tire placard.
- Hold down RESET button (on end of wiper lever) until DISPLAY TYPE is displayed.
- Press button on end of wiper lever to select SET.
- Press RESET button.
- Press button on end of wiper lever to select TIRE PRESSURE.
- Press RESET button.
- Press button on end of wiper lever to select WHEEL CHANGE (select STORE PRESSURES if resetting air pressure).
- Press RESET button. Relearn can take 20 minutes to complete.
AU-2
- Inflate all tires to pressure listed on tire placard.
- Press CAR function button.
- Select TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING.
- Select WHEEL CHANGE (select STORE CURRENT TIRE PRESSURES if resetting tire pressures).
- Relearn can take 20 minutes to complete.
AU-3
- Inflate all tires to pressure listed on tire placard.
- Press CAR function button.
- Select TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING.
- Select INITIALIZE WHEELS (select STORE CURRENT TIRE PRESSURES if resetting tire pressures).
- Relearn can take 20 minutes to complete.
AU-4
- Inflate all tires to pressure listed on tire placard.
- Press MENU knob on center of console to access the start menu.
- Rotate MENU knob to position arrow by SET.
- Press MENU knob.
- Move arrow to TIRE PRESSURE.
- Press MENU knob.
- Move arrow to STORE PRESSURES.
- Press MENU knob, a check mark will appear to signal relearn completion.
- Exit out of tire menu. Vehicle will need to be driven several minutes to complete relearn process.
AU-5
- Inflate all tires to pressure listed on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Enter tire pressure mode.
- Press media control, located on center console.
- Let vehicle sit for 20 minutes.
- After 20 minutes, vehicle must be driven above 25 mph for 10 minutes.
BMW-1
Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
If equipped with iDrive:
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Press iDrive controller to use “i” menu.
- Select SETTINGS, press iDrive controller.
- Select CAR/TIRES, press iDrive controller.
- You may need to switch to the top field, select TIRES:RDC, and press iDrive controller.
- Start engine.
- Select CONFIRM TIRE PRESSURE, press iDrive controller.
- Vehicle must be driven to complete relearn.
If not equipped with iDrive:
- Start engine.
- Hold turn signal lever in the up or down position until TPMS telltale and RESET are displayed.
- Press button at end of turn signal lever.
- Press and hold button at end of turn signal lever until a check appears after RESET.
- Vehicle must be driven to complete relearn.
BMW-2
Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
If equipped with iDrive:
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off)
- Select SETTINGS from iDrive menu.
- Select VEHICLE
- Select TPM
- Select RESET
If not equipped with iDrive:
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Hold down TIRE PRESSURE WARNING or RDC button (located on insturment panel) until TPMS telltale is illuminated.
- Vehicle must be driven to complete relearn.
HON-1
A properly formatted scan tool is required to learn new sensor IDs when replacing sensors.
HON-2
Ensure all tires are inflated to the pressure listed on the tire placard. Drive vehicle at speeds above 15 mph for a minimum of 40 seconds. Sensor ID's will be learned automatically.

INF-1

ISZ-1
- Apply parking brake, Turn ignition to ON position (engine off)
- Turn headlight switch from OFF to parking lamps 4 times within 4 seconds. A double horn chirp will sound and the TPMS telltale will begin blinking to indicate the learn mode is enabled).
- Starting at the LF tire, increase/decrease pressure until horn sounds.
- After horn sounds, proceed as in step 3 for the next 3 sensors in the following order: RF, RR, LR.
- After LR sensor has been learned, turn ignition to OFF position. Adjust all tires to pressure lisetd on tire placard.
ISZ-2
A properly formatted scan tool is required to learn new sensor IDs when replacing sensors.
JAG-1
Ensure all tires are inflated to the pressure listed on the tire placard, Vehicle must be driven for at least 10 minutes while maintaining speed above 15mph in order for system to learn new sensor IDs. If spare tire sensors ID is being programmed, a properly formatted scan tool is necessary.
KIA-1
Ensure all tires are inflated to the pressure listed on the tire placard, Drive vehicle above 15mph for a minimum of 20 minutes to complete relearn process, or use properly formatted scan tool.
LEX-1
Initializing following rotation and tire replacement:
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Hold down tire pressure warning reset switch until TPMS telltale blinks 3 times.
- It will take several minutes for the ECU to receive signals from the sensors and complete initialization.
Note: A properly formatted scan tool is required to learn new sensor IDs when replacing sensors.
LEX-2
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position.
- Hold down tire pressure warning reset switch until Pressure Initial Indicator is displayed.
- Vehicle will have to be driven at speeds above 19mph to complete initialization.
LEX-3
A properly formatted scan tool is required to learn new sensor IDs when replacing sensors.
LEX-4
Initialization following rotation and tire replacement.
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Apply parking brake and turn ignition to ON position.
- Hold down tire pressure warning reset switch until TPMS telltale blinks 3 times.

LEX-5
Initialization following rotation and tire replacement.
- Turn ignition to OFF position.
- Inflate all tires to pressure listed on tire placard.
- Start engine.
- Hold down tire pressure warning reset switch until TPMS telltale blinks 3 times.
- In several minutes, the multi-information display will display the air pressure in all 5 tires.
- Turn engine off.
Note: A properly formatted scan tool is required to learn new sensor IDs when replacing sensors.
LR-1
Ensure all tires are inflated to the pressure listed on the tire placard. Vehicle must be driven for at least 15 minutes while maintaining speeds above 12mph in order for system to learn new sensor IDs. If spare tire sensor ID is being programmed, a properly formatted scan tool is necessary or spare must be used on the vehicle and driven for a minimum of 16 minutes above 12mph
MAY-1
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Press arrow key (located on steering wheel) until tire air pressure is displayed on the combination instrument
- Press the right reset button on the combination instrument.
- Speedometer will display: MONITOR TIRE PRESSURE?: Select YES
- Speedometer will display: TIRE PRESSRUE CONTROL ACTIVE!
- The sensors will begin to monitor the pressure of all 4 tires. The message, TIRE PRESSURE CONTROL. PRESSURE DISPLAY AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES OF TRAVELING, will be displayed until pressure values can be stored.
MAZ-1
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON then to OFF.
- Wait 15 minutes.
- Drive vehicle above 12 mph for several minutes.
- Sensor IDs will then register.
MAZ-2
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to OFF position and press and release the brake pedal.
- Cycle ignition from OFF to RUN position 3 times, ending in RUN position.
- Press and release brake pedal.
- Turn ignition to OFF position
- Cycle ignition from OFF to RUN position, 3 times ending in RUN position.
- Horn will sound once and TPMS telltale will blink once train mode is initiated. If equipped with message center, it will display TRAIN LF TIRE. Place antennae of learn tool on side wall of LF tire 180 degrees from valve stem to activate sensor. Horn will sound once sensor has been recongized, Repeat step for RF, RR and LR tires.
- After training LR tire, the message center will display TRAINING MODE COMPLETE. If the vehicle is not equipped with the message center display, successful completion can be verified by turning the ignition to the OFF position and not hearing the horn sound. If the horn sounds, the training procedure must be repeated.
MER-1
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Press UP/DOWN button (on left side of steering wheel) until RUN FLAT INDICATOR ACTIVE, REACTIVATION POSS: + is displayed.
- Press + button until TIRE PRES, NOW OK? NO YES is displayed
- Press + button, RUN FLAT INDICATOR REACTIVATED.
MER-2
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Press UP/DOWN button( on the left side of steering wheel) until TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR CONNECTED REACTIVATION USING + is displayed.
- Press + button TIRE PRES. NOW OK? Is displayed.
- Press button TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR REAVTIVATED is displayed.
MER-3
- RESET Air Pressure
- Inflate all tires to pressure listed on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Press forward/back button on steering wheel until trip and odometer are displayed.
- Press UP/DOWN button until tire inflation pressure monitor is displayed
- Hold down reset button (located on instrument cluster) until MONITOR CURRENT TIRE PRESSURE? Is displayed.
- Press + button TIRE PRESS, MONITOR ACTIVATED-PRESS. DISPLAY AFTER DRIVING A FEW MINS. is displayed.
- If REACTIVATE-TIRE PRESS. MONITOR! Appears, repeat relearn procedure.
- If CHECK TIRES! appears, indicates tire pressure too low, adjust pressures accordingly
Relearn New Sensor Ids. Ensure all tires are inflated to the pressure listed on the tire placard. Vehicle must be driven for at least 10 minutes, while maintaining speed above 15 mph in order for system to learn new sensor IDs. If spare tire sensor ID is being programmed, a properly formatted scan tool is necessary.
MIN-1
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Start engine
- Hold reset button until TPMS telltale illuminates
- Initialization will be completed once vehicle is driven.
MIN-2
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Hold reset button located on right side of steering wheel 4-6 seconds until TPMS telltale illuminates or set pressure is displayed on instrument panel.
- Drive vehicle to complete initialization
MIT-1
A properly formatted scan tool is required to learn sensor IDs when replacing sensors.
NIS-1
After a tire rotation or tire replacement, the system will relearn itself under normal driving conditions. A properly formatted scan tool is required to learn new sensor IDs when replacing sensors.
POR-1
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Under MAIN MENU select TIRE PRESSURE, then SETTINGS
- Select tire type and size.
- Wheel positions are learned during normal driving conditions.
POR-2
Ensure all tires are inflated to the pressure listed on tire placard. System relearns during normal driving conditions.
SAB-1
Ensure all tires are inflated to the pressure listed on tire placard. System relearns during normal driving conditions
SAB-2
- Apply parking brake, Turn ignition to ON position (engine off)

SM-1
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Press the TPM (RDK) button on the cockpit switch panel.
- The MIL will flash momentarily to indicate a manual relearn has been initiated
SUZ-1
A properly formatted scan tool is required to learn new sensor IDs when replacing sensors.
SUZ-2
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off)
- Press and hold down drivers side door switch for 2 seconds, Release then press again for 2 seconds. Release, then press again for 5 seconds.
- Place learn tool over LF tire and press activate/test button, then proceed to RF RR and LR. Sensors must be activated within 90 seconds.
- When each sensor ID has been received by control module TPMS telltale will be displayed for 5 seconds.
SUZ-3
- If equipped with standard entry system, turn ignition to the ON position, then proceed to step 4.
- If equipped with keyless entry system, turn ignition to the ACC position.
- Using keyless entry system: hold lock and unlock buttons simultaneously until horn sounds, and then LF turn signal will become illuminated, proceed to step 5.
- Using DIC; press and release INFO button until TIRE LEARN Message is indicated on display. Hold down SET/RESET until horn sounds and LF turn signal is illuminated.
- Starting with LF tire, increase/ decrease tire pressure until horn sounds.
- After horn sounds proceed as in step 5 for the next 3 sensors in the following order: RF, RR, LR. After completing LR tire horn will sound twice.
- Turn ignition to OFF position to exit vehicle learn mode. Adjust all tires to pressure listed on tire placard.
TOY-1
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- If TPMS telltale is flashing hold down tire pressure reset button (located on instrument panel, knee bolster or inside glove box) until telltale light goes off.
- Once TPMS telltale is off, hold down tire pressure reset button until TPMS telltale flashes 3 times.
- Drive vehicle at 19mph or more for over an hour to complete initailization.
TOY-2
IMPORTANT: Before following the relearn procedure, please be sure to move the old sensors at least one hundred feet away from the car.
Initialization following rotation and tire replacement.
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Hold down tire pressure reset button (located on instrument panel, knee bolster or inside glove box) until TPMS telltale flashed 3 times.
- Procedure is complete once all transmitter signals have been received by the ECU.

TOY-3

TOY-4
Initialization following rotation and tire replacement.
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Hold down tire pressure warning reset switch until TPMS telltale blinks 3 times.
- Initialization will be complete when ECU has received signals from all sensors. Process may take 2-3 minutes.
- If initalization is not complete drive vehicle for approximately 20 minutes.
VW-1
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off)
- Enter the information center setup menu and select TIRE PRESSURE.
- Select STORE.
- SYSTEM LEARNING will appear on the display and disappear after several minutes of driving.
VW-2
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Press VEHICLE button to access tire pressure control menu.
- Press the RDK key to enable tire pressure control.
- If equipped with sensor in spare wheel, select SPARE WHEEL MONITORING.
- Press NEW TARGET PRESSURES key. The current pressures can now be saved.
VW-3
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Turn ignition to ON position (engine off).
- Press the MENU button located on Instrument Cluster.
- Use thumbnail knob to select TIRE PRESSURE
- Press thumbnail knob to select
- Use thumbnail knob to select STORE.
- Press thumbnail knob to select.
VW-4
Relearn Following Tire Rotation/Replacement:
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Apply parking brake and turn ignition to the ON position (engine off).
- Hold SET (or ESP) button (located next to gear shift until audio signal is heard. Audio signal confirms successful relearn.
Relearn Following Sensor Replacement:
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Apply parking brake.
- Vehicle needs to stand for 20 minutes in order for control module to enter learn mode.
- Drive vehicle above 16 mph to register sensor IDs.
VW-5
- Inflate all tires to pressure indicated on tire placard.
- Drive vehicle above 16 mph to register sensor IDs.
VOL-1
Ensure all tires are inflated to the pressure listed on tire placard. Vehicle must be driven above 25 mph for more than 10 minutes and then parked for more than 15 minutes for system to learn new sensor IDs or a properly formatted scan tool can be used to complete the relearn procedure.
